Esther Witherell || String Teaching Artist at Carroll Hill
Esther Witherell is a recent graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance. While an undergraduate, she became known for her creative and collaborative leadership in music-making. She has led the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra as concertmaster and also served as principal second violin for a memorized, choreographed performance of Wagner’s Siegrfried Idyll at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.
Esther has participated in music festivals across the country, including the Texas Music Festival in Houston, TX and Rocky Ridge Music Center in Estes Park, CO where she performed as concertmaster and principal second violin. For the past two summers, she has been a staff violinist at CAMP-of-the-WOODS in Speculator, NY, and she currently performs and teaches in the Albany area. Esther joins CHIME eager to inspire kids with the magic that is music.
