John Antonio joined ESYO in 1994 and currently serves as ESYO Repertory conductor. A graduate of the College of Saint Rose, John taught music in the Albany City School District and was the program coordinator of the District’s summer music program, until his retirement in 2004.  John maintains a private studio, and is responsible for giving many of the area’s top percussion players their start, including Matthew Ward and Grammy nominee Stefon Harris. John has been a guest conductor at numerous Area All-District music festivals.
