April Zhu graduated from Rockefeller College at SUNY Albany with an MA in public policy & administration, a MS in educational psychology and has expertise working with children and teenagers ages 8 to 17.

Prior to joining ESYO, April was an administrative associate at the Eyre Writing Center where she handled parent-school communication and kept positive customer relationships. While serving as the director of the International Buddy Program at State University at Albany from 2020 to 2022 April worked assiduously to assist international students in adjusting to their new life of study. She organized activities for college students in the international buddy program, taught lessons to freshmen, and helped any students who needed help. As an experienced event planner and coordinator, April and her group Culture Connections won the Purple & Gold Award of the Most Outstanding & Entertainment Group 2021-2022. April worked at Bilingual kindergarten as a principal assistant, English teaching, and art teacher. She also taught Chinese at Chinese Fellowship Bible church and Chinese School at Chinese Community Center at Albany. In her spare time, April enjoys cooking, singing with her guitar, and she loves thrillers.
