Our nine day, eight night journey will include four concerts at outstanding venues, cultural and musical exchanges and side-by-side concerts with Mexican youth musicians. Our Tour will take us to Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Guanajuato and León. Please read through all the links on this page to learn more about the Tour. Who is eligible for the Tour? All current Symphony Orchestra musicians as well as all Symphony Orchestra alums from 2020 to the present and Repertory Orchestra musicians of certain instrument groups. There will be two mandatory Tour meetings that all registered Tour participants must attend:
The cost per musician is $3,950 inclusive of flights and accommodations. Not included in this price: lunches & individual trip insurance fees. We do not want cost to be a barrier to participating in this experience, and have set aside funding to support families experiencing financial strain. Please apply for financial aid if you need help to attend this trip. Even if you did not qualify for assistance for ensemble tuition, you might qualify for Tour assistance.

ESYO seeks to ensure a safe and exciting experience for all tour participants by providing experienced tour personnel. The 2024 Tour to Mexico will be led by Becky Calos, Lisa Stulmaker, Etienne Abelin, and Andrea Restrepo, all of whom have international touring experience and have coordinated and led student adventures abroad. Additionally, we invite chaperones to attend the tour at a reduced rate. If you would like to be considered as a chaperone for this tour, please complete the following interest sign-up form.
Classical Movements provides a full-service, parallel Tour for friends, family and community members to travel to Mexico at the same time as ESYO’s Symphony Orchestra. This once-in-a-lifetime guided experience will take participants to amazing sites and include attendance at ESYO’s performances and outreach events. We are still in the process of working out details and pricing for the Shadow Tour, and will provide updates soon. In the meantime, sign up for updates here.
