Sign up for a ten-week session designed to introduce serious young musicians like you to the Empire State Youth Orchestra. Learn more about your instrument from outstanding conductors and explore new and exciting repetoire with other musicians who are as passionate about music as you!

There's a place for you!

ESYO provides serious youth musicians of all abilities the opportunity to learn, grow, and perform. Concertino Winds & Percussion Ensembles are ideal for woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians in grades 5-8 and are comfortable playing NYSSMA level 2-4. Percussionists do not need to be proficient in both non-pitched and pitched percussion.

Join One of Three Concertino Ensembles!

Rehearse with instrument ensemble once-a-week for ten weeks and sound together onstage at an ESYO concert.

Register Online in Three Easy Steps

  1. Complete the ESYO Concertino Wind & Percussion Registration online at esyo.org/join and submit your proof of vaccination.
  2. Pay Your Tuition. Tuition is $275- non-refundable after February 27, 2022.
  3. Have your school or private teacher submitt a brief recommendation.

Proof of Vaccination, Teacher Recommendation, and Consent Forms Due Prior to First Rehearsal

Music Teacher Recommendation

Auditions are not required, and all musicians are encouraged to apply with a recommendation from their music teacher.  Music teacher recommendations assist ESYO's conductors in selecting repertoire that best supports a members current level of skill while also challenging them to grow and develop.
