Prague, Bratislava and Vienna
On a musical journey through Europe’s historic capitals of Prague, Bratislava, and Vienna, we will spend ten enriching days exploring the history and culture of each city, performing in gorgeous concert halls and meeting young local musicians in intercultural encounters.
Prague is known for its winding cobblestone streets, colorful Baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the famous pedestrian Charles Bridge, completed in 1402. It’s also where composers like Dvorak and Smetana spent most of their lives and wrote many of their most famous pieces. The Moldau river runs through Prague – so it will be fitting for us to perform Smetana’s Moldau here!
As the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, with its medieval Old Town and hilltop castle overlooking the Danube river, provides a wonderful setting for cultural exploration.
Last but not least: Vienna! Often called the “City of Music,” Vienna holds an important place in classical music history, having been home to Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss. We will, among other things, have the opportunity to explore the palaces of Schönbrunn and Belvedere, and visit the State Opera.
This is more than just a concert tour – it will be a journey of personal growth and discovery, a chance to broaden our horizons, deepen our appreciation for the arts, and create memories that will last a lifetime!
