SUNY Schenectady
SUNY Schenectady music graduates are regularly accepted for transfer to some of the finest music schools and conservatories. We have a number of transfer agreements with major music schools to help ensure successful transfer experiences. These agreements may be seen by visiting the Music Transfer Agreements link.
Music Camps & Enrichment Programs
Ithaca College Summer Music Academy
Our mission is to provide a creative and supportive environment for young adults to grow as musicians and people. Our high school program is unique in that it offers a residential pre-college experience with a rich offering of music courses, as well as non-music courses, taught by Ithaca College faculty and top music educators from across the country. Our intermediate program provides young musicians with the opportunity to work with renowned faculty in a fun and supportive environment.
Eastman Experience
This internationally acclaimed Classical Studies program is for academically inquisitive performers, conductors and composers currently in grades 9–12 who are seriously considering a career in music. Our highly individualized program emphasizes solo performance (strings, winds, brass, piano, voice, classical guitar, harp, conducting, and composition) and chamber music. This program is for mature students of advanced performance levels who can work well in a focused collegiate-type environment.
Arrowhead Arts Association
The youth of our community are central to the goals of Arrowhead Arts Association. The Youth Enrichment Programs seek to foster the musical education of local students from grades K through 12. Since the programs were launched in 2001, thousands of students have benefited from high quality instruction. All programs are free (material fees may apply) and fully sponsored through grants and community donations.
