About The Event

ESYO’s String Orchestra and Concertino Strings share a program that balances classics, favorites, and new voices.

String Orchestra pairs Beethoven’s Allegro con brio from Symphony No. 5 (arr. O’Neill)—all forward drive—with the timeless song “Over the Rainbow” (Arlen/Harburg). Jimmy Webb’s “Up, Up and Away” (arr. Ployhar) adds easy lift, and The Lamps of Deepavali (Ramachandran/Ford) brings festive color and rhythm.

Concertino Strings offers the clear, sunny writing of Mozart’s Symphony No. 15 (arr. Dackow), the scene-painting of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition (arr. Del Borgo), and a gentle close with Richard Meyer’s A Quiet Place.

Join us for a bright, tuneful night by our young string players.
