Wings of Fire
This year’s Young People’s Concert brings your students an unforgettable story told through Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony.
Meet Fiero the Phoenix, a magical bird who rises again and again, carrying light wherever he goes. But this time, Fiero faces a powerful challenge: the dark and shadowy force of Fate. Fate tries to weigh him down with heavy chords and stormy sounds, threatening to keep him from soaring.
Through the music, your students will follow Fiero’s daring adventure as he pushes back against Fate’s darkness, lifts his wings higher, and transforms the shadows into sparks of joy and celebration. They’ll even join in—clapping and stomping to Fate’s pounding rhythm, cheering to help Fiero fly, and celebrating in the triumphant finale as the orchestra blazes with fiery energy and Fiero bursts into full flight.
Designed especially for 3rd and 4th graders (with younger and older students also welcome), Wings of Fire is the perfect blend of storytelling, interactivity, and symphonic music. Your students will cheer for Fiero, feel the thrill of a live orchestra, and leave inspired to rise above their own challenges.
