Nikola Tomić is active as a trumpet performer and teacher in Upstate New York and the New York City area. In addition to his work with CHIME, Nikola teaches at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, having taught previously at Cornell University, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, the Ithaca College School of Music, and the Eastman Community Music School in Rochester, NY. He has contributed two articles and numerous CD reviews to the quarterly journal of the International Trumpet Guild. Nikola holds the DMA and MM in Jazz Studies & Contemporary Media from the Eastman School of Music and a BM in trumpet performance from Ithaca College. Nikola is a proud member of the Albany Musicians’ Union, AFM Local 14.
