Audition Excerpts

Are you preparing for an ESYO Online Audition? To be considered for certain ensembles you need to prepare excerpts for your instrument.

Excerpts reflect the difficulty level of repertoire for ESYO ensembles.  Be sure to work with your music teacher to select the appropriate excerpts. Below you can find excerpts by instrument:

Excerpts are short passages from important pieces in the classical repertoire and are the foundation of any orchestral audition.

Find your instrument's audition requirements

Pick two excerpts for your instrument that best demonstrates your current musical skill and experience. Musicians must prepare the Repertory Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra excerpts to be considered for placement in Symphony Orchestra.
