ESYO’s String Orchestra & Youth Jazz Orchestra serve up a perfect pairing of musical standouts by Bach, Greig, Fred Sturm, Duke Ellington, & more. String Orchestra performs Grieg’s elegiac Heart Wound alongside an arrangement of the first movement of Bach’s beloved Brandenburg Concerto No. 3. Members of the Youth Jazz Orchestra bring the swing with David Springfield’s The Art of the Matter and Half the Fun by the king of Swing, Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn.
