Explore the world of chamber music with your friends this summer during ESYO’s summer string chamber music program. Sign up with your friends and create your chamber ensemble or sign up on your own, and ESYO will match you with a group of musicians who are as passionate about music as you.
Students meet three times a week for a 2.5 hour long session. Each session will include a 75 minute chamber music rehearsal, a coaching and a 75 minute string technique workshop. The groups will conclude the program with a performance on stage at Freedom Park in Scotia.
ESYO's String Chamber Music Summer Program is open to registered members of ESYO String Orchestra, Repertory Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra, plus non-ESYO musicians NYSSMA level 4 & above.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
No musician has been denied participation in an ESYO ensemble because of financial need. Need based financial assistance is available for this program. At ESYO's Summer Sessions, you'll study your instrument with professional chamber musicians, learn new skills, enjoy the great outdoors, and make new friends before rehearsals begin.
Sign up for one or more sessions and get a jump start on the 2023-2024 season. Bring your friends! Many of the ESYO Summer Sessions are open to non-ESYO members.
