ESYO WELCOMES NEW FACES THIS FALL

Dr. David Bebe

Director of Education

The Empire State Youth Orchestra is excited to welcome Dr. David Bebe to the musical community as Director of Education. Dr. Bebe is responsible for creating new learning experiences for ESYO members and also supporting them in their growth as ensemble musicians. Dr. Bebe will also assist ESYO CHIME Teaching Artists to best support the musical achievement of CHIME musicians.

Before joining ESYO, Dr. Bebe worked as the Associate Professor of Music at the College of St. Rose and is an active cellist, chamber musician, guest conductor, recording artist, and clinician. Dr. Bebe will bring much value to our artistic and administrative team. Most importantly, his work will open new doors and opportunities for serious fun at ESYO.

Zoë Auerbach

CHIME & Young Leader Program Manager

As the new Program Manager for ESYO CHIME and the Young Leader program, Zoë Auerbach oversees the CHIME program and ESYO Young Leaders, a youth leadership training program. Zoë is looking forward to supporting the CHIME teaching teams, nurturing student success, and working with ESYO's Young Leaders, pairing them with a mentor, and providing operational support to their community projects.

Zoë Auerbach has enjoyed a varied and full career as a violinist/violist, teacher, and arts administrator. She holds undergraduate degrees in violin performance and earned her MA in philosophy at the CUNY Graduate Center. Zoë has performed throughout the US, South America, and Canada with many groups, including One World Symphony, and is the founding executive director of Harmony Project Hudson, a tuition-free music program in Hudson, NY.
