Greetings!
I am delighted to invite you to join the Empire State Youth Orchestra on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 for a magical performance featuring Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, From the New World. We are so excited to be able to bring back this beloved annual tradition after our pandemic pause.
Our young audience will be invited to join a musical adventure, assisting the wacky and whimsical Guardian of the Forest to remember the magical melody that will help him free the world’s oldest trees from the spell cast by an evil sorcerer. Audience goers will be invited to participate in the journey, delighting in the antics, while at the same time learning about the impressive talent of Dvořák with excerpts from his work. This humorous, educational and interactive performance is not to be missed!
As always, the program, which is appropriate for students in elementary and early-middle school, will include an introduction to the instruments and musical interactions with the orchestra.
I hope you will join ESYO Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, October 18 at 10:30am for what will certainly be an entertaining experience!
