Romeo & Juliet, Elgar’s Cello Concerto with Eujeong Choi

A famous love story as old as time and a portrait of Juliet, a thoughtful and self-reflective young woman. Etienne Abelin makes his ESYO debut at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall with Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet and Elgar’s ominous Cello Concerto with Eujeong Choi, the 2022 Lois Lyman Concerto Competition Winner. Missy Mazzoli’s River Rouge Transfiguration sees America’s industrial past and present through the lens of music as Symphony Orchestra transforms “grit & noise” into a musical experience that is “resonant & unexpected.”
